Lunae Lacus with Nilokeras was on the Central Meridian. Niliacus Lacus, Achillis Pons and Mare Acidalium were also well seen. Tractus Albus was slightly darker than the surroundings, with Tempe being very bright. Arcadia was between these two in darkness. Tharsis and Xanthe were light, and Thaumasia and Solis Lacus appeared to be hazy. There were two large cloud masses, one being over Chryse and Niliacus Lacus, the other located above Amazonis, Memnonia and Mare Sirenum.
