This series of images is a false color time-lapse sequence of the Martian sunrise - the arrow indicates the sequence - the bottom image is the first one taken, before sunrise. In it you can see that the Martian sky grows light before sunrise. This occurs because the light from the sun is caught and scattered in the dusty atmosphere. |
